It's magpie breeding season so that means they are swooping on people again. They really are just trying to protect their nests but can be a hazard to people on bikes especially. Here is a map of the magpie hotspots in Brisbane.

Tara, I believe my parents street in Ashmore is the BIGGEST maggie hot spot! As you drive down the street there are maggie families grazing in front of every house on both sides of the road. Mum and Dad have had the same family coming to them every year with their new babies and this year they have 7!!!! They are very bold and come right into the house and make their way to the kitchen where they will raid the cats food bowl if no-one is about to give them something!

I LOVE magpies and think that would be a wonderful sight to see Soph!
Magpies only swoop due to flock remembrance. if only everyone could love them then over time in those areas they may swoop less and less
