we got him at the humane society on Saturday...hes about 6-9 motnhs old...he already came out on Sunday stepped up flew around..he loves it here I can tell...he already ate rice and corn and even broccoli..we love him already....he was a toss out bird..someone thre w him out to survive on his own...he was vet checked at the society..hes fine...isnt he so beautiful?? his cage we got is way too small well work on it..he wont be in it a whole lot anywayhttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii171/Samincanada/Picture146.jpg

Yes it looks as though Mitch is a female unless he/she is young. Congrats we never get any birds in our HS here.

Mitch is about 6-9 months old so we are guessing male..why do you think female? lol thats all i need oh well he/she is home to stay

Well I hope it is a male if that is what you wanted. Females have the pearl markings and males don't when they go through their first molt and also the females orange cheek markings are more faded but if h/she is that young then it is really hard to tell and even with pelvis examination.
