I would be grabbing it when you have 29 days left so you can practice as much as you possibly can!!
800mm is a lot of lens to be aiming!

The 12 hour shifts didn't work out so no new lens for me this year. :( I did get to hold one in a camera store today, that sucker is seriously heavy! :faint: I don't know if I can hold it long enough to photograph a bird!
