The Sydney Sun-Herald is giving away free David Attenborough Wildlife Collection DVDs in Saturday and Sunday papers. I stumbled on them when I went into a newsagent to buy the Lotto tickets. Last week's DVD's were available for $1-the cost of the paper, though the paper is sold out-who cares?
So far, I got:
Trials of Life-Arriving
The Life of Birds-To Fly or Not to Fly :yahoo:
I hope there are more tomorrow!

Just the other day, my friends and I were bemoaning the demise of ubiquitous freebies. My dad's kitchen cupboard is still filled with free chic--china and ironstone from the supermarket, glasses from the gas station, not to mention jelly jars. Such a thrill clipping the coupons -- woo hoo, dinner plates this week! There is a bank that has started giving away free toasters again, so maybe it will come back for my golden years.:excited:

I'm old enought to remember free toasters from banks-was living in California at the time. I also remember gas station freebies.
