Our New Baby!!

We did it! We went to visit the breeder tonight (they were a wonderful couple who seem to really love and care for their birds) and put a deposit down on a Timneh African Grey! The baby was so sweet! And beautiful! Here are some pictures of Seamus or Scarlett!

Did the baby take to Evan like Shredder did?

Not as much as Shredder did, but Evan lit up when he was holding her, it was so sweet! I kind of sat back and let him hold her most of the time because I want them to bond. He/she wasn't afraid of us at all and was trying to explore everything, I think we are going to have our hands full with this one!

the great thing about babies is that they adjust well. I visited Raeka for 2 months and for awhile thought she hated me. She ran from me and basically just tolerated me. I knew that things might change when I brought her home so I just kept plugging away. It DID change when I brought her home. She is my princess now. Loves be3ing with me all of the time, hates it when I leave for work. I can hear her yelling outside walking to my truck. Good thing I live on acreage and my neighbors aren't close. :tongue: He will do great when you get him home and the main thing is that Evan is happy and he's in love with the baby. The rest will come in time. I"m so happy for you! You guys need this after the disappointment with Shredder. :woohoo:
