A most unusual friendship

Here is a sneak peek at the Bird Park in Foz do Iguassu, Brazil. This place has huge walk in aviaries of all kinds of parrots. Out of all these parrots-look who chose to be friends!

That was adorable! Interesting choice of friends. In a different setting, I would have been hesitant to let them get too close together. Shows what I know......:shrug:

That aviary, you will see when I load the pics into the blog. There are all kinds of parrots:

GW macaws, Hys, BG macaws, Scarlets, BF Amazons, Nandays, Jandays, a couple Mitred conures and that one little Quaker. I could only see one Quaker anyway. I would have thought he would hang with the Nandays but he WANTS to be with the HY!!

All these species are native to the Pantanal-Nandays, Quakers, Hys. You don't see so many Scarlets or GWs. You also see Pionus and Amazons there, just wait until THOSE pics go up!!

Tomorrow is a public holiday in Brisbane so I will load the Iguassu pics and leave the Pantanal pics to the weekend so people don't get overwhelmed with too much to look at all at once. I want everyone to see the Tambopata ones too.
