Gabriel Rescue Update

Unfortunatly I couldn't go in today, due to my knee is acting up.....again....:pullhair:

But I called in and talked to Karen, she's in charge of the Aviaries. I asked her how the rescued birds were doing, and she said they doing ok. They are keeping them at the Bird Brain, because of room and quarentine. They are preforming Labs on all of them, and she said she is going today to pick up some of the Lovebirds. So all in all they are hanging in there.

The Lories are holding thier own. They are out in the Aviaries.

I also mentioned that I had posted the last EMail on the latest rescue on several bird boards, and that there will be some donations coming in. I mentioned all the forums I posted it on, but told her that the majority of the donations were coming from Uncaged......and I told her they were coming from as far as Australia.

She was so happy and thankfull, and wanted me to tell you all thank you so much, it is needed.

Anyway.....if they need me tomorrow or Thursday I told her to call me, and hopefully Bee & the BF & I will be going there on Saturday.

It posted to me Amex 3 days ago-they got it!! I was trying to figure out how to sponsor a bird but they don't have many up on their website. Also, most of them seem to be already sponsored. Gayla and Bee, how did you go about sponsoring an individual bird?

Thank you so much Tiki! I sent Karen an e mail just now explaining that you sent in a donation, and are interested in possibly sponsoring a bird. I asked her for any information, and explained that most of the birds on thier site show being sponsored already. I'll pass on whatever I hear back to you.

On the conure page, Mikey is Bee's sponsor bird, right? Your Ricky Roo isn't on there yet.

The photos aren't working on some of the birds, I can't see the Quakers on the Parakeet page.

Yeah Mikey is Bee's, but they don't show them as sponors....it hasnt been updated in quite a while.
