for our friendly neighborhood hawks. This one was pretty bold.
I have to watch like a.....well a "hawk" while I have my gang out on the patio.

Pretty brazen! There are three Red Tail Hawks that hang around my neighborhood-I keep an eye on my fids when they are on the porch also.

Is the porch where your birds are screened in or enclosed?

Double screened on top and doublescreened, hardware cloth and latticework on the bottom.

yep, them hawks are very bold. I just watched that funniest pets video show. I think it may have been a set up, they let their little mouse out to play in the back yard on its cage and SWOOP hawk grabs it and its gone.

I have heard horror stories of pet birds being snatched up like that too. :eek: Please everyone keep your birds inside if there is a hawk in the area.

My nieces friend was out walking her dog, a chihauha, and a hawk snatched it away. Don't care much for those hawks!!!!

Mine is screened in. Last winter I had my crew out there a hawk tried to attack not realizing the screen was there (guess it was to hungry to think straight) I saw it's shadow out of the corner of my eye when at the last second it pulled up from it's dive bomb.


Scared the shit out of the birds (and me), they were all freaked out yelling and flying around the patio. The hawk just sat on the neighbors roof watching them.
