Yeah they are! The closest I ever got to a hummingbird is when one got caught between the screen and window, I reached in between there to get him, had him in my hand, walked outside opened my hand and he was gone in a flash.
I wanted to check and make sure he wasn't hurt.....LOL I'm pretty sure he wasn't
