Pitas going to the vet!

Just made an appointment with the vet to get his nails, claws, talons, whatever you call them, clipped! They are so sharp, and my little poopsicle likes to climb around under my shirt, I have scratches everywhere! Need to get him wieghed as well.

you should get one of those kitchen digital scales to weigh him... i weigh valo daily - part of the routine....

be prepared that after the toenail clipping, he'll be falling off everything - including you... so handle him with care..... (after i had valo's clipped, he had no grip at all... i'm only filing now :D)

other than that - i'm sure he's healty... he sure looks like it.... and don't worry about his tail, they'll be soo impressed with the rest that they won't even see the "other end"

They didn't actually clip his nails, they used one of the files that they use in nail places...lol And yes, he is falling all over the place. They said he looked great, and he wieghed 113grams

He got to see Brooke, his buddy when he boards, and he quacked all over.....they said that when they clipped his wings they pretty much butchered them, and it would take a long time for them to grow out. I hate Petco!

Anyway, we are home, and all is good, and it only cost me $12.00

wrt the wing feathers - you've to wait until the molt... nothing you can do about it... then they all come out... valo's lost all but 2 wing feathers.....
