Over thirty years ago, a "starving" undergrad saved up her hard earned pennies and bought a new, expensive North Face sleeping bag. About three months later, a lantern leaked battery acid on my wonderful new bag. I sent it to North Face, hoping against hope that they could repair it. Much to my surprise, they gave me a new one, although the lantern incident was certainly no fault of theirs. The bag has kept me warm on many adventures through the years. I got it out for a recent trip and discovered that the waterproof lining inside the stuff bag had finally gone the way of all good things and was falling apart. I went to a North Face store to see if I could buy a new one (since the sleeping bag is still perfect) and the clerk gave me a form and said to just send in the bag and they would give me a new one. Scary, the stuff bag is definitely older than that clerk. I LOVE North Face. There are not many places in the world where a lifetime guarantee is exactly that!

I should have bought one when I was younger so I would get more "life" out of it!

Their backpacks are awesome too!
