I have a chance to get a manzanita playgym. It's 5 feet tall and has a bowl. They say they have only used it once because it is too big for their grey and they are selling it for $150. Here's the link, it has some pictures.

what do you all think? I haven't seen it yet, I'm going tonight. I know my greenwing should be ok on it, but do you think it will be too big for my grey and mealy zon to play on? I know this lady thinks its too big for her grey, but I want other opinions? I looked online and I think $150 is a pretty good price for a gym of this size.

Oh for heaven's sake! No, that's not too big for a grey or an Amazon! Buster's manzanita stand is HUGE! 5 foot high, 2 feet wide and 4 feet long and she is only a cockatiel. The point is that the circumference of the branches are tiel and small bird sized rather than big and thick like you would get for a larger bird. She does have a large variety of thickness in the tree and some would be suitable for a bigger bird. Buster's playstand was 280.00 plus tax, so this is a deal at $150.

id say its also fine. its partially stripped manzanita, therefore the surface is not as slick as if the bark was completely in tact. i would be more worried if the branches were too small, than too big. ....well, if your bird likes to hang upside down and can't grasp the branch completely, then too large branches may be a problem...

it looks great from the pics and you cant beat the price!
