Went to the zoo yesterday with Matty, Ben and another friend Lynnie. Thanks for a great day guys. Matty took a stack of photos too so there may be some repeats.

Wow, great pictures. Looks like you all had a great time and I don't blame you for wanting to play with the Black Palm all day - don't know if I would have left him or just stayed with him all day. LOL

It was a great day. Very enjoyable. Matty will upload some more when he gets a chance. I just didn't want to take over too much. He got some fantastic flight shots of Manu the B&G macaw too. (no pressure Matty :whistle: )
We've got pandas coming next year and more redevelopment going on so the place is a bit of a disaster atm, or as we called it getting ready for panda land.

The Manu pics look fantastic Matty. Better then mine. I forgot to set the camera to sports setting.
I've done a slideshow with a few more shots on it which is uploading onto Youtube as I type so will put that up too when it's ready.

wish I had a great Zoo like that around here... I have never even seen a Koala in a Zoo... Lucky people I need to get over there...You look like you had a great day together.. Yes I am dark green with envy.:pullhair:

Two things...first...an observation...damn I wish I could've been there...what a blast that would have been...the pics are great...
Second...what is that critter in Matty's second set of pics...the one right after the Mir Cat...might that be a Mongoose...

The lyre bird was in fine form. lol. I'll put up a few more pics later today.
I think there's a few I got that you didn't Matty. Did you end up getting the little froggies? I'll put that one up. Your pelican shots are stunning btw.

That was waaaaay cool...I'm guessing but I think I heard...chimps, budgies, lories, ducks, toucans and some kind of squeaky toy...and a whole bunch of other sounds I didn't recognize...but thoroughly enjoyed. What an amazing bird...:excited:

well it has one 'too but the local oval ( 5minute walk away) has heaps.;)
I think Matty and I were talking about this yesterday. We get rainbow lorikeets, musk lorikeets, New Holland Honeyeaters, eastern rosellas, crimson rosellas and willy wagtails and I'm sure others that I don't take much notice of because we're so used to them.
