Not sure what I may come home with, certainly some more natural toys. I am open to the right fid at the right price if anyone picks me. I do have to factor in the vet check too in the total budget and he would have to live in the bedroom cage during quarantine and then move to the bird room with the others. I will be checking out Conures as birds that are available in Australia at reasonable prices. I don't think Caiques have come down this year.

I'm going to be up in Brisbane that weekend (bringing Sandra up to Nat) but I think I may be pushing my luck to get to the bird fair too. BTW Tara this is all very hush hush between Nat and I, meeting up with a few others but they don't know I'll be there (kinda bittersweet really) so shh if you know what I mean.
I think I would be facing a death sentence at home coming back with another bird.

Where are you staying? Maybe we can at least meet for lunch? Wanna come over and meet my fids?

I'm depending on Nat. I'll be staying with her geting Madam settled in. I've got your mobile so what I'll do is give you a call when I hit the airport on Friday. Still sorting out bookings atm and it's becoming a bit of a nightmare trying to get Sandra and I both on the same plane whilst keeping costs down. Once I know exactly what flights I'm on, I'll let you know. I'd love to be able to catch up if its at all possible.

I wish I could but everytime I go to these bird fairs the security people tend to watch my every move. Can't imagine why!

I was thinking the other day about what species of fid my next bird would be. As much as I have my heart set on an Alex I found myself rethinking (if that makes any sense). I have re-narrowed it down to either an Alex, another ringnecks, another Quaker, or two Green Cheeks (different clutch mates though so maybe I could have babies one day). I was looking at Mojo's picture last night and thinking how wonderful he was and how nice it would be to have another one or two...
You wouldn't have to steal it Tara, I would be sure to pay you for your time ;) :)

If you seriously want a new bird I can find one for you. How would I get it up to Hervey Bay? Green Cheeks go for $100-150, Nandays I think are around $250ish. Green Quakers are $300, Blue Quakers are around $500ish. Sun Conures are around $500. IRNs anywhere 50 upwards depending on mutations. I can't remember how much an Alex is.
