FWCAS Tour and Interview with Lynda Lewis, President
In November 2008, I visited the rescue of the Florida West Coast Avian Society and was given a tour of the rescue by the president, Lynda Lewis and vice president Gini Hyman. It was a real heartbreak to see so many birds who had lost their homes, but thankfully they have people like Lynda and Gini to take care of them and find them new homes!

Thanks for posting the video! It was great to meet you in person after being friends online for the last few years. Next time, plan to stay in Sarasota a few days and we go search for the flocks of Quakers and Nandays that fly around town here!

That was an amazing video Tara! I can't believe people think that when they get tired of their bird, they can just throw it away like a piece of trash! FWCAS does an amazing job with finding wonderful homes for everyone. Keep it up guys!

Thanks, Tiffany! Some stories are really heartbreaking but we try to rehab, socialize and rehome with loving families that will provide a wonderful forever home.
