Default Quaker aka Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus) Wild Parrot Sighting Database

This thread is to report sightings of the Quaker aka Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus) in the wild.

Please include as much detail as possible: where you saw the wild parrot, what he was doing (eating, flying, nesting, breeding, etc) and how many species were in the area. Also please feel free to include other details to aid your fellow bird watchers in locating this species.

We also welcome photos of the wild parrot species.

We have flocks of wild Quakers in Sarasota, FL. They have been seen in Island Park, Siesta Key, City Island, South Gate, The Landings and other subdivisions and areas of town.
